Dinant Starts Jaguar Satellite Tracking

  • In order to learn more about the movements of the jaguar (Panthera onca) in the area, the Wildlife Conservation Center (WCC) Farallones, owned by Miguel Facusse located in Farallones, Limón, Colon, acquired a modern tracking equipment satellite. This technology will be used in jaguars to know the movement ranges of the largest catlike in America; this technology will be side by side with the large world-class research projects. This equipment will work to complete the monitoring program with activated cameras and motion sensors that DINANT started four years ago.
