Dinant opens three Breastfeeding rooms in Aguán
With great success, DINANT opened three new lactation rooms located in the Dinant Fats & Oils Extraction Plant, Finca de Tumbador and Finca Agroindvasa in Aguán, municipality of Tocoa, Colón, benefiting more than 276 women of childbearing age. These spaces offer a safe and dignified environment so that collaborators can exercise their right to breastfeed up to six months after giving birth. They have trained personnel to provide guidance and medical assistance, certified by the IHSS.
Sindy Zelaya, DINANT´s Occupational Health Manager, mentioned: “We are happy to support mothers who work every day, promoting healthier families since breastfeeding is the sole source of all necessary defenses for babies to develop and grow".
This initiative seeks to reduce the risk of postpartum hemorrhage, promote family health and support return to work after maternity leave. In addition, DINANT offers other wellness programs, such as "Brillando con Salud", that promote a healthy lifestyle among its collaborators.
